Happy Birthday to my Sister in law LYNN! We love you very much, a whole lot (as Kaitlyn said)
Today was hard! I am not going to say hardest, I am afraid of what tomorrow is going to bring.
This morning I did the school morning routine, worked out with Zumba and then out to the garage, I load my car then get in turn the key and NOTHING! Ugh my battery was dead. I grab my trusty jump box, hook it to my battery and turn the key and....NOTHING! I leave the charger on the battery and go back inside. Oh I forgot to mention that today is the coldest day of the year so far.
Now my client has texted me. Great timing right? So I inform her that I have not left yet and will be late. I am the person that never believed in that fashionably late rule. I am almost always 15 minutes early for everything.
Still no cigarette, put at this point I could have smoked 2 or 3.
Hubby finally makes it downstairs and I try my car again. He dressed for the corporate world and now has to help me with my Jeep. Hood is up and he is now popping something off the battery and pouring water in these little chambers. Who knew that batteries take water. If you never knew that, you just learned something today! Yeah I love learning new things.
He is so sweet looks over at me, and slowly and sweetly says "are you ok?" "I know you probably really want a cigarette." Wow I must say.....MY HUSBAND ROCKS! He is thinking of me when he is the one that is under the hood of my car trying so hard to stay grease free. At this point I load my stuff in his car, and I drive him to work so I can have a car for today. Still have to get to my clients home and then pick up the kids from school by 1:30. One of the kids has a Dr.'s appointment at 3:15.
Now we have a family that are great friends. We really are like one big family. Graham Murray(the dad) owns his own auto shop here in Cornelius NC. If you live in the area and ever need auto work he is the one to call. His business is called Murray's Auto Works. I grab my cell and call him on my way to my clients home. I bet when he saw my number on his phone this early in the morning, something is wrong with my car. As usual he answer with "What's up Tiff?" Then lets me know he can get it done and even will stop by the house to jump my car to get it to his shop! They live right down the street from us:)
I get my house done. Head home and try to jump my car and..... It starts. Of course I call Graham and let him know I am on my way, and he even drives me back home.
Still no cigarette:)))) Pick up hubby at work. My car is fixed. On the ride home hubby tells me he is having to go out of town tomorrow. There was an angel with me today. I could have given up and smoked today.
Seem to be eating allot more than usual.
I have a few pictures of the project I have worked on the past 2 nights. I need to stay busy so I don't think about smoking. That just means allot of crafting is going to be done her at the Foster home!
Diaper cake for my niece Teria who is due in March. Mom, my little sister, and I are throwing her a baby shower.
I also knitted a hat and blanket for my great Niece.
This is the hat that is the top of the diaper cake:) This is the same style I made for my client who just had her baby, and put the hat on her at the hospital. I did her's in gray with a pink flower.
Picture is not the best. This is one of those double glass frames. I cut the letters out of vinyl with my cricut. This is for the woman that owns and runs Kaitlyn's Horse back riding therapy program. Here's another plug. Sorry! Anyone that has a special needs child or knows one, Calicos Haven in Huntersville NC is the place to go.
Michelle is truly an angel. She is so patient with the kids, and the kids just love her.
Hope everyone has a great evening. I am of to spend time with my hubby and watch some football. GO BLUE!!!!!!

Day 2
Yeah to us!
Hubby and I have gone 2 days without smoking and without killing each other:) There have been times that's for sure. We snap at each other and then laugh at the thought that something so nasty and bad for you has controlled us for many many years.
I cannot believe how easy it is with this patch. I picked a box up at target New Years Eve. I am on my second day of step one. I am hoping that going to stage two and then NONE will be as easy as this seems to be.
Today I actually did a Zumba easy workout! I think it was easy due to the fact that I woke up did my school day routine....Made lunches, Dressed Kaitlyn and got her ready for school, hustled Hannah my teenage girl who changes 3 times before walking out the door. I really needed my morning cigarette by the time they were out the door. What better to do then Zumba instead of a cigarette.
Wow I was a really good dancer in my teens and early twenties. What the heck happened. I am really getting old. If my husband wanted to be really cruel hercould have video taped me! Really we probably would have won Americas Funniest Home Video. I am sticking to it no matter how ridiculous I look.
I saw Allie a 3 day old baby girl today. Her older brother Bare (4) was home today too! I had so much fun with him today. I clean his mom and dad's house for them. He is normally at school so I don't get to see him much. Santa brought him the Xbox connect. I laughed so hard watching a 4 year old playing football. His "hut hut" was really low. Then he had to run in place. It made me feel allot better of how I might have looked doing my Zumba!
I have taken up knitting. I am really enjoying the loom. Provo craft makes it. I swear in need stock in that company. Santa brought my 2nd oldest Kelsey one for Christmas. She is knitting so many hats. Spent the night at her BF's New Years Eve and knitted the whole time:) Anyways I made Allie a hat before she was born and her Mom and Dad brought it with them to the hospital. She wore it her first day! Wow what an incredible feeling. I was told that the nurses were going crazy over the hat and told Allie's mom that I should talk to the woman down it the gift shop and see if she would sell them there. I think I might just see if she would like to sell my hats?!?!?!
Wow what a great start to 2012. I have wanted to really concentrate on my crafts this year. I think this is a sign:) Yes I am one of those girls....I look for signs in everything and everywhere. It is so bad my husband will even say "Oh it must be a sign right?"
Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow, I am off to read Kate a book before bed. It is really windy here in Charlotte, so I am sure that she is going to be in Hannah's or our bed by morning.
I will keep you posted on Day 3.

Day 1
This year my Hubby and I have given up smoking once again. I hope this is the year we can make this possible. We have gone 24 hours so far. I had a hard afternoon, got out to my Jeep and the battery was dead. Jumped it off and away I went to the grocery store. When I got out from spending the crazy amount of money it takes to feed a family of 6 my battery was dead. I was the total redneck jumping my car in the Harris Teeter parking lot with a jump box REALLY! Then it was time to slapped on one of those nicotine patches. I have never tried this method before and it seems to be working. The hard times seems to be after eating something. I seems to be eating more than normal, I am trying to keep my mind off of wanting a cigarette.
I guess the next thing to do is start my work out. Santa brought me Zumba for the Wii. I have played around with it some. The kids have been on winter break and have had the machine going full force. School starts back Monday so my goal is the minute they are gone start my zumba workout, then off to work.
This week has been a cleaning out weekend. It seems like the minute the tree is out of the house, I start a cleaning and tossing, or goodwill theme. I have created a landfill of trash. Thanks to my neighbors Jo and Ray for letting me use their roll out canister for the abundance of trash. I have made 2 trips to goodwill and plan on making yet another one tomorrow. I still have my closet to go through.
Tomorrow I get a chance to see a brand new baby girl. She will be 3 days old. Love the smell of babies!!!
Hope to posting tomorrow for another cigarette free day.

Eric Our Elf toasting marshmallows
So this year we have an elf on the shelf! He is such a great addition to our family. Tonight he decided to roast marshmallows on one of my candles. Yes that is my baby cake pop maker skewer. His name is Eric. I strongly suggest this tradition for your family:)

Craft Show
Here we go! My daughter and I are in our first craft show of the season. I will post pictures:)
The great thing about these is that my daughter gets credit hours towards her graduation:) She is in a course designed for special kids. The course is called occuapational course of study (ocs). She is taught life skills. These hours are considered work hours:) She will be making a little money to buy some more supplies and earn credit hours.
Hopefully many more craft shows to come:)
